Sunshine Rental Cars aims to provide reliable vehicles and excellent service. This policy outlines how refunds and cancellations are handled for bookings made with us.
Free Cancellation Window: Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the scheduled pick-up will receive a full refund of prepaid rental and insurance amounts.
Late Cancellations (within 72 hours): A one-day rental fee will be charged, and the balance (including prepaid insurance) will be refunded.
No-Show Policy: If you fail to pick up your vehicle without notice, no refund will be issued.
Early Returns: Returning the vehicle earlier than agreed does not generate a refund for unused rental days or prepaid insurance.
Refunds do not include the following, which are always non-refundable:
Late Return Fees:
Cars: $20 per hour up to 3 hours late
Medium/Large Vehicles (SUVs, 4WDs, trucks, shuttles): $50 per hour up to 3 hours late
Returns over 3 hours late: full additional day’s hire rate applies
Pickup/Drop-off Fees: Airport pickup/drop-off charges ($50 each way, $100 round trip)
Insurance: Only refundable if booking is cancelled in advance. Once rental begins, insurance premiums are non-refundable
Date, time, or vehicle type changes are subject to availability.
Cost differences from changes are handled according to the cancellation terms above.
Refunds are issued via the same payment method used for booking.
Processing may take 5–10 business days.
If we cannot provide the reserved vehicle (e.g., breakdown), we will:
Offer an equivalent or upgraded vehicle, OR
Provide a full refund of rental and insurance fees.
We are not liable for cancellations due to events beyond our control. Credit may be offered for future rentals where possible.
